Eva Rodriguez Martinez
HWF Intern - July 2014

Eva Rodriguez Martinez took some time off from her studies to travel to Maui from Spain in April 2014 to learn about Hawaiian sea turtles.

> Im very grateful to Hawaii Wildlife Fund for my internship experience! I had the best time with an amazing group of very nice and professional people involved in many projects around the island of Maui. They were really helpful, teaching me about Hawaiian Sea Turtles, marine debris and more. I had many varied experiences, and they then tailored my internship to my interest and study, when possible. My tasks with them consisted of working with the nesting turtles at night, checking on the hatchlings and the nest after an emergence, conducting very beautiful snorkeling transects to identify the sea turtle species, sorting marines debris, and cleaning up the beach. I truly recommend to take part in this project due the great time I had in my internship. Thank you very much HWF. It was so special a time!
